Aerosol products such as: insecticidal aerosols, aerosol sprays, aerosol hair sprays, etc.;
Foam-like aerosol products such as: automotive foam cleaners, hair mousses, etc.;
Fine aerosol products such as wasps sprays, fire extinguishers, and other products that spray very far.
Composition of aerosol:
Aerosols consist of propellants, active ingredients and additives, pressure vessels and valve systems.
Propellents (propellents) are the motive power of the active ingredient, and sometimes have the effect of the solvent of the active ingredient.
1, Propellant requirements:
The vapor pressure at room temperature should be greater than atmospheric pressure; it should be non-toxic, non-sensitizing and irritant; inert, does not react with drugs, etc.; colorless, odorless, tasteless.
2, The classification of propellants
Propellants can be divided into hydrocarbons, chlorofluorocarbons and compressed gases.
The main varieties are n-butane and isobutane, propane and butane mixed gas (LPG), dimethyl ether (DME) is the most commonly used propellant;
Also known as freon, it is a more expensive propellant and is not commonly used in China.
Its characteristics are low boiling point, the vapor pressure at room temperature is slightly higher than the atmospheric pressure, easy to control; stable, non-combustible; liquefied density, odorless, basically odorless, low toxicity; insoluble in water, can be used as fat-soluble drugs Solvent

The main varieties are carbon dioxide, nitrogen and nitric oxide, which are basically not used in aerosols and are commonly used in sprays.
3, The amount of propellant and vapor pressure
In general, the amount is large, the vapor pressure is high, and the spray firing ability is strong; otherwise, it is weak.
A mixed propellant is generally used to adjust the spray capacity by adjusting the amount and vapor pressure.
Second, the active ingredients and additives
According to the nature and requirements of the product, it is decided to formulate an appropriate type of aerosol to determine the use of certain latent solvents or additives.
Third, pressure vessel
Aerosol containers must not work with active ingredients, additives and propellants, pressure, light weight, low cost, etc.
Fourth, the valve system
The valve system is required to be sturdy, durable, and structurally stable; the valve material is inert to the contents and its processing should be precise.
